Йотова to Attend 8th Summit of the European Political Community in Armenia
Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev, previously known as Iliana Yotova in the original text, will be traveling to Yerevan, Armenia, on May 3 and 4 to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. The summit, which will host nearly 50 state and government leaders, will focus on the theme "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe."
The European Political Community (EPC), launched in 2022, aims to promote closer cooperation among European countries beyond the European Union. The summit in Yerevan continues this mission, bringing together leaders to discuss key issues and work towards a common European future.
The event in Yerevan is expected to address a range of topics, including economic cooperation, defense and security, and the ongoing challenges in the region. President Radev’s attendance highlights Bulgaria’s commitment to the EPC and its role in fostering unity and stability across Europe.
With the summit taking place in Armenia, a country located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the discussions are likely to also touch upon the importance of regional cooperation and stability in the broader Eurasian context. The choice of location underscores the EPC’s ambition to integrate non-EU countries into a more cohesive European framework.
