After winning his fifth consecutive "Masters" title in Madrid, Italian tennis sensation Jannik Sinner has shifted his focus to his next goal: the Rome Masters tournament.

The 24-year-old world number one dominated Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-2, adding the Madrid title to his victories in Paris, Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo.

The trophy from Rome is the only one missing from Sinner's collection. Last year, he lost to his major rival Carlos Alcaraz in the final following a three-month doping ban. If Sinner can secure a victory in Rome, he will become the second player after Novak Djokovic to win all the Masters titles.

"Playing at home is always special. I feel good physically and there's no reason not to play in Rome. I'm happy to be going there—it means a lot to me. Last year, I returned after a tough period and I was very emotional due to the support I received there. So, I'm very happy to return, but it's not easy to win—every tournament is tough. We'll see how it goes there. Right now, I just need a mental break for the next 2-3 days because I've given so much and put in so much energy in every tournament, so we'll see," Sinner said after winning the Madrid final, according to Reuters.

The Italian, who has dominated on both hard and clay courts this season, acknowledged the pressure of high expectations.

"I want to enjoy this right now. This was a very long tournament. I'm very happy, but now it's good to recover, especially mentally. There's a lot of tension," he explained.

Asked about Alexander Zverev's comments that there is a big difference between Sinner and the rest of the players, Sinner responded: "It's hard to say. Sometimes you have good days, other times bad ones. Today I performed very well, with strong serves. But I don't compare myself to other players. I try to be the best version of myself. According to me, Zverev was tired. When I'm tired, I'm a bit more nervous. That's normal. I played solid in the key moments, tried to make the right decisions, and the result was great."

The Rome tournament begins on Thursday, and Sinner is the favored player in the absence of Carlos Alcaraz, who is dealing with an ankle injury.
