Dino Prizmic has been eliminated from the "Masters" tournament in Rome. In the round of 16, Karen Khachanov proved superior, winning with a score of 6:1, 7:6 (2).

The 20-year-old Croatian has much to be pleased with from his performance in Rome. Not only did he reach the round of 16 at a Masters 1000 ATP tournament for the first time in his career, but he also defeated the most successful tennis player of all time, Novak Djokovic.

Today, however, Prizmic was no match for the 15th-ranked Khachanov. The Russian served superbly, was confident when facing break points, and made fewer unforced errors than his opponent.

Khachanov finished the match with 20 winners and 31 unforced errors, while Prizmic attempted to be aggressive, recording 27 winners and 37 unforced errors. Khachanov will compete in his first quarterfinal in Rome.

The early stages of the match saw long games, but Khachanov managed to break twice and lead 4-0. Prizmic managed to get on the board, but his more experienced opponent won the set on his serve.

The second set was a more balanced battle, with each player breaking once in the beginning. Khachanov faced a tough situation in the ninth game, but he managed to escape it. Ultimately, the tiebreak decided the match, with the Russian's experience proving decisive.

In the quarterfinals, Khachanov will face Casper Ruud, who defeated eighth-seeded Lorenzo Musetti with a score of 6:3, 6:1.
