Montenegro to Export Excess Local Milk to Neighboring Countries

Montenegro's government has announced plans to purchase all excess milk from local producers starting from this Monday, as informed by Prime Minister Miloyko Spaić. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on local farmers and increase milk exports to neighboring countries.

Spaić highlighted the resolution of a significant issue for the nation's agricultural sector, stating, “The problem of our farmers is solved – starting from Monday, the purchase of all excess milk will begin.” This move reflects the government’s commitment to supporting local agriculture and promoting regional trade.

The initiative comes as part of a broader strategy to enhance the economic stability of Montenegro’s dairy industry. By absorbing the excess milk and preparing it for export, the government hopes to prevent price drops and support local producers.

With this new policy, Montenegro aims to not only stabilize its own dairy market but also to strengthen its economic ties with neighboring countries through increased trade of agricultural products. This step is expected to have positive impacts on the overall economic landscape of the Balkan region.
