Zadar is breathing basketball once again! The spectacular Fibin World Tour 3x3 basketball tournament took place in Zadar from May 15 to 16, captivating all attendees. The first day of competition was held at the picturesque Pozdrav Suncu, while the sole Croatian representative, Cibona, regrettably failed to advance to the knockout stage due to a lower score compared to their group rivals. The second day of competition had to be moved indoors to the legendary Jazine due to rain.

The exhibition match scheduled for 11 am at Pozdrav Suncu was canceled due to rain, and the entire closing ceremony was relocated to the indoor arena due to poor weather. The championship trophy was awarded to the Miamija team, who triumphed over Amsterdam in a closely contested final with a score of 21-19. The Amsterdam team had previously eliminated the Serbian Ub team in the semifinals with a score of 21-17, while Miamija advanced to the final by defeating Toronto with a score of 21-16.

The slam dunk contest was equally impressive, with the title going to Piotr "Grabo" Grabowski from Poland after several spectacular dunks. Interestingly, a pigeon appeared inside Jazine at one point, deciding to watch some basketball.

Vedran Vukušić, the project manager for the Croatian Basketball Association, explained the organization process of the tournament. "We have partners in the organizing body who helped us make contact with Fiba and expressed interest in hosting such an event," he said.

Despite the weather challenges, the tournament proved to be a memorable event for basketball fans in Zadar.
