Young Serbian tennis player Luna Vujović secured a place in the semifinals of the tournament in Kuršumlijska Banja after defeating Romanian Patrisia Georgiana Goina in the quarterfinals with a convincing 2-0 score, sets 6-1, 6-2.
Vujović's performance was stellar. In the first set, she managed to break serve three times, easily taking the first set with a score of 6-1. Her dominance continued into the second set, where she again broke serve three times, leaving her opponent with almost no chances. Luna advanced to the semifinals without much difficulty.
Currently ranked 806th in the world, Vujović is also a top 100 prospect on the junior rankings. At 1 6 years old, she is seen as the future of Serbian tennis, alongside promising talent Teodora Kostović, who has already begun to prove herself on major tournaments.
The success of young players like Vujović and Kostović is a bright spot for Serbian tennis, which has been looking to replicate the success of past star Ana Ivanović.
