One of the best discus throwers in the world and Serbia's national record holder, Adriana Vilagoš, kicks off her season on Saturday in the Chinese city of Xiamen, where the Diamant League resumes after a delayed start.

Following her silver medal at the European Throwers Cup in Nicosia and victory at the meeting in Split, where she also completed her preparations, Vilagoš is ready for the Diamant League meetings and the main continental series of World Athletics. The Diamant League is a significant part of the European and World Athletics calendar.

National record holder in Serbia, Vilagoš has been recording results below 60 meters, but she herself has emphasized that in this campaign, it is important for her to gradually increase her pace and be most prepared for the European Championships in Birmingham and later secure a place at the first World Ultimate Championships in Budapest.

In China, she will face rivals such as Haruku Kitaguchi, Eline Cengko, Sigrid Borge, Flor Denis Ruiz Hurtado, Ziji Jan, Tori Morbi, and Cangjian Dai, as well as Malgorzata Maslak-Gluglu and Marija Andrejčik.
