Vulić: Levski Is the Most Popular and Beloved Team
Croatian player Stipe Vulić joined Levski Sofia in the winter transfer window, moving from Sampdoria. The club paid approximately 150,000 euros for his transfer. At 25, Vulić participated in five matches before suffering an injury at the end of April, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

"When I arrived in the winter, I saw that we had a quality team and coach. He did not allow even the slightest slack. We had to be focused during every training session and match. That's why we won the title. We were consistent. We managed to beat all the smaller rivals, I mean the teams ranked below us. It's in these matches where you win or lose the championship, while Ludogorets stumbled a few times and we took advantage," he said.
"I had to undergo surgery because I broke my fifth metatarsal bone. This ended my season. It happened without any contact. I simply shifted my entire weight onto my right leg during landing and felt something crack. This is an unpleasant injury commonly seen in athletes. It is very difficult and slow to recover from," he explained.
"Not only in the city, but across the entire country, Levski is the most popular and beloved team. It's like Hajduk. It feels great to play and face CSKA in the derby. The atmosphere in the stands is fantastic. There is another team that bears this name, but it is CSKA 1948. They are a good team but don't have as many fans. Levski is undoubtedly the most followed team, and wherever we play, our supporters are always with us," he stated to slobodnadalmacija.hr.
Levski's fanbase is like no other in Bulgaria, and it's not just because of their on-field success. They have a special place in the hearts of fans across the country. But can they keep up the momentum and continue winning titles? Or will their rivals rise up and steal the spotlight?
