Vólos coach Achilleas Beaux erupted in the second half of the OFI-Vólos match, directing his anger at referee Stéphane Lanoua and the match officials. The incident occurred after a goal by Vólos was disallowed via the VAR system, which altered the game's flow despite it having no scoring significance. The goal, which came in the 24th minute, was a header by Lambrakis following a foul by Juan. However, after a review by VAR, the goal was disallowed.

Beaux subsequently took to public platforms to criticize Lanoua, demanding he step down from his position at the Greek Football Federation (EFAK). "If you have any self-respect, resign," Beaux remarked, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the referee and the match officials.

The controversy quickly sparked discussions on social media, coming at a time when refereeing decisions have once again become a focal point in Greek football.
