Vladimir Malinov: Long-Standing Contract with "Botash" Used Annually, Turkey Shows Understanding of Pre-Contracting
Former State Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov, who currently serves as the director of the gas operator "Bulgarttransgas," has revealed that the long-standing contract with the Turkish company "Botash" has been utilized on an annual basis. The agreement has been a key part of Bulgaria's gas supply strategy, showing a consistent pattern of usage over the years.
"As of now, 'Bulgargaz' has announced a tender for the delivery of one cargo through this capacity, using the contract with 'Botash,'" Malinov stated. This indicates that the arrangement with Botash continues to play a vital role in Bulgaria's gas procurement strategy. The understanding between Bulgaria and Turkey regarding pre-contracting measures highlights the strategic partnership between the two countries in the energy sector.
The contract with Botash is essential for Bulgaria's energy security, providing a reliable source of gas supply. The tender process initiated by Bulgargaz demonstrates the ongoing efforts to maintain a steady flow of natural gas through the contracted capacity with Botash. This not only ensures energy stability but also underlines the importance of international cooperation in the energy sector.
