Vesenkov and Company Lead Against Champions in Athens!

Olympiacos and Fenerbahçe will clash in the first semi-final of the EuroLeague Final Four at the "Telekom Center Athens" in the Greek capital.

The "Red-Whites" from Piraeus have reached this stage of the competition for the fifth consecutive year, but they have not managed to secure the trophy. They came closest in 2023 when Vesenkov and his team lost dramatically in the final to Real Madrid.

Olympiacos finished first in the regular season standings this year, while Fenerbahçe finished fourth. In the playoffs, Olympiacos swept Monaco 3-0 in the quarterfinals, and Fenerbahçe defeated Žalgiris 3-1.

Vesenkov scored the first points of the game with a close-range shot, making the score 10-0 at the 3:56 mark. Kem Barc scored the first points for the champions, and a three-pointer by Nando de Colo brought Fenerbahçe a 5-0 mini-run, making the score 12-5. Olympiacos entered the bonus early, and Tyler Dorsey scored from the free-throw line, making the score 15-7 with two minutes left. A three-pointer by Taisen Ward and a three-point play by Taylor Horton-Tucker brought the score to 18-12 at the end of the first quarter.

A new basket by Peters made the difference 16 points, 28-12. A strong basket by Chris Silva brought Fenerbahçe's first points in the second quarter, six minutes in. The lead reached 17 points, but a three-pointer by Tarik Biaberovic reduced the gap to 12 points, 17-29. Alec Peters continued to play well, scoring a three-pointer from the corner and making the score 32-17. The Fenerbahçe players responded with a difficult but important three-pointer from Biaberovic. An easy basket by Nicolò Melli reduced the gap to double digits, 24-33, ending the first half. Vesenkov had only two points so far but managed three rebounds.
