Universitatea Craiova is on the brink of becoming the Romanian champions if they can secure a victory over U Cluj in the decisive match in Banja. The team is already preparing for a celebration, with the game scheduled to be live-streamed by Sport.ro starting at 20:30.

Universitatea Craiova Prepares for Celebration

Leading up to the match, Universitatea Craiova has posted several mobilizing messages on social media, announcing their intention to win the fifth title in the club’s history, after a 35-year hiatus. The messages are a mix of nostalgia and enthusiasm, calling on supporters to bring white and blue flags to the "Vulcan" stadium to honor those who have supported the team over the years.

“For those who are no longer with us, but will always be part of the Science’s story.

Sunday, each of you should bring a white and blue flag to the ‘Vulcan’ stadium. A flag for the father who took you to the stadium for the first time, for the grandfather who sparked the passion for white and blue, or for the friend who sang with you until the last moment. For all those who loved Science unconditionally and left without seeing this dream so close after 35 years.

Each flag will symbolize a soul, and thus no one will be missing from the ‘Vulcan’.

They will be there. In the songs. In the tears. In the hope!

Let our white and blue flags flutter to the sky!”

Other Messages from the Oltenians:

  • “Science vs U Cluj coming soon…”
  • “Tomorrow. Here. Together. Forza Science!”
  • “When Science plays, it’s a celebration!”
  • “Sunday, all of Oltenia should hang a flag, a scarf, a handkerchief, or even a small banner at their windows, balconies, or doors. Let’s turn Oltenia into what we all know it is: a region that lives, dreams, and feels white and blue.”
  • “A white and blue passion. 5 for Oltenia!”
  • “Only one day left until the clash with U Cluj in ‘Vulcan’. Vamos, Science!”

Universitatea Craiova currently holds 46 points, while U Cluj has 45. The Oltenians are still favored to clinch the title, but if they draw, they will need to secure a win in the last match away against Rapid to avoid dependence on a slip-up by U Cluj.
