The European football governing body, UEFA, has handed down a groundbreaking decision following a scandal in women's football. Petr Vlachovsky, a Czech coach, has been banned for life from football by UEFA for secretly filming his players in the locker room, an announcement made official by Reuters.

Czech media reported that Vlachovsky was convicted in May 2025 and initially received a one-year suspended prison sentence and a five-year ban from coaching in the country for secretly filming players from FC Slovacko in the locker room. According to Agerpres, the youngest player involved was 17 years old. Vlachovsky admitted to his actions and stated that he regretted them.

The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) of the continental forum announced that Vlachovsky has been suspended “from engaging in any football-related activities” following the appointment of an ethics and disciplinary inspector to investigate the allegations of inappropriate behavior.

The statement from the CEDB emphasized, “The CEDB has decided to request FIFA to extend the mentioned sanction globally and to order the Czech Football Association to revoke Mr. Petr Vlachovsky’s coaching license.
