Following last week's matches, Antalyaspor became the final team to drop from the Süper Lig. Fatih Karagümrük SK, Kayserispor, and Antalyaspor are set to compete in the Trendyol 1. Lig next season, but this decision has been met with strong opposition. The first objection came from MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

BAHÇELİ'S CALL FOR LEAGUE REGISTRATION TO STOP

A journalist close to the ruling party, Sinan Burhan, revealed during a live TV100 broadcast that Bahçeli had sent a message to TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, urging him not to register the leagues. Bahçeli reportedly suggested suspending relegations for this year due to the ongoing investigations into match-fixing and betting by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. He also called for the Süper Lig to have 21 teams next season.

The official statement released by Kayserispor yesterday also echoed a similar request, calling for the suspension of relegations due to the investigations.

TFF WILL MAKE THE DECISION

According to procedure, TFF is set to discuss league registration at a meeting scheduled for the last week of May or the first week of June.
