The Turkey national football team began its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a training session at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva. Under the guidance of coach Vincenzo Montella, 25 players from a 35-player squad participated in the session, while Hakan Çalhanoğlu worked separately.

Several notable players were absent from the training, including Arda Güler, Kenan Yıldız, Altay Bayındır, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Zeki Çelik, Mustafa Eskihellaç, and Atakan Karazor. Merih Demiral and Yusuf Akçiçek were resting, and Mert Günok was on personal leave. Hakan Çalhanoğlu undertook individual training.

Before the session, Montella held a short meeting with the players. The training began with a run, followed by dynamic stretching, passing drills, and ball handling organization. The session concluded with fast-paced running.
The team will continue its preparations tomorrow with another training session. The national team is scheduled to play a friendly match against North Macedonia on June 1 in Istanbul. They will then travel to Florida, USA, to face Venezuela on June 7.
