England's manager Thomas Tuchel has unveiled his 26-player squad for the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Prior to the squad announcement, Tuchel held discussions with all players, leading to the revelation of several star players not making the cut. England will be without notable players such as Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Croatia Opens Against England

The team will then travel to the USA, first to a camp in Florida, and then to Kansas City to prepare for the group stage. England opens the World Cup against Croatia on June 17th and will also face Ghana and Panama in the group stage.

Tuchel's Decisions

Yesterday brought shocking news about Tuchel's squad. Notably absent is Cole Palmer, a 24-year-old Chelsea star valued at 110 million euros by Transfermarkt. Palmer scored just nine goals this season in the Premier League, the lowest since he joined the club three years ago.

Phil Foden also missed out, who had a disappointing season at Manchester City. The 25-year-old midfielder, valued at 80 million euros, scored seven goals and provided five assists in 32 Premier League appearances. Foden has played 49 times for England but will not travel to the World Cup.

The End of Maguire's Career with England

One of the biggest names to miss out is Manchester United defender Harry Maguire. For the 33-year-old veteran with 67 caps, this decision likely marks the end of his international career, which was somewhat expected given that Tuchel ranked him as the sixth-choice defender in March.

Alexander-Arnold Misses the Cut

This morning, it was confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, the 27-year-old star of Real Madrid, is not on the squad. The right-back has 34 caps and four goals for England, but due to a weaker form this season, he did not make the cut. Alexander-Arnold, who joined Madrid from Liverpool, made 30 appearances and provided five assists for the Madrid side this season, far from his best form. Alexander-Arnold is valued at 65 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
