Tragic Video Resurfaces: Young Luka Milovac's Basketball Dreams

A brief video of 11-year-old Luka Milovac, who was tragically killed in May 2026, has resurfaced on social media. The video captures his innocence and passion for basketball. Luka, wearing his KK Doška uniform, stands in front of a camera after a match at the "Basket 4 Kids" tournament in Split, responding to questions honestly and without pretense.

Speaking to Sport Klub in 2018, Luka said, "I liked this sport and that's why I decided to play basketball." He was the youngest participant at the tournament, which included teams from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Macedonia.

In the video, Luka speaks candidly about his experiences, saying he found the tournament "very good and strong." When asked about his training routine, he simply replied that he trained four times a week. After losing their first game, a reporter asked him what he expected for the remainder of the tournament. Luka responded, "I don't know, we'll see. Fate will decide."

The video has been widely shared on social media in recent days, serving as a poignant reminder of the young man many knew as quiet, respectful, and deeply committed to basketball. His words and demeanor, captured innocently, now carry a profound sorrow for those who knew him.
