Three more big names from Bulgarian football have confirmed their participation in the "Match of Hope," organized by the foundation of Stiliyan Petrov. The event will take place on June 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Lazur Stadium in Burgas.

The names joining the noble cause are:

Rosen Kirilov – a three-time Bulgarian champion with CSKA and Litex and former national defender with 51 caps for the country, including appearances at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2004. After a successful career abroad, he now works as a coach.

Valentin Iliev – an emblematic captain of CSKA, with two titles and the national cup. He is the author of the historic winning goal against Liverpool at "Anfield" in 2005. He has 23 caps for the national team and rich international experience.

Plamen Krumov – a long-standing striker and captain of Chernomorets (Burgas), leaving a mark in clubs like Maritsa (Plovdiv), Botew (Plovdiv), Naftex, and Spartak (Varna). After ending his career, he founded the successful football academy "The Blue Stones" in Svishtov.

The trio joins an impressive lineup of participants, including Stiliyan Petrov, Dimitar Berbatov, Martin Petrov, Krasimir Balakov, Zlatko Yankov, Dimitar Dimitrov - Hero, Lubomir Shatanov, Nedelcho Matusev, Stoyko Sakalev, Dimitar Ivankov, Radostin Kishishev, Aleksandar Tunchev, Ilia Iliev, Georgi Peev, Emil Kremenliev, Martin Kambov, Valeri Bozhinov, Iliya Gruev, Mikhail Alexandrov, Mariyan Hristov, Theodor Salparov, Yvet Lalova, Joe Hart, Wes Brown, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, James Collins, Stewart Downing, Richard Dun, Mark Albrighton, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Phil Bardsley, and Billy Wingrove.

The "Match of Hope" will bring together sports stars, public figures, and artists to unite efforts for:

  • Supporting the Comprehensive Oncological Center in Burgas;
  • Aiding the treatment of legends Petar Hubchev and Luboslav Penev;
  • Helping cancer patients across the country.
