Galatasaray, the reigning champions of the Süper Lig for the 2025-2026 season, celebrated their 26th title at a grand ceremony held at RAMS Park. However, the festivity was marred by the ongoing cold war between the club and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
Following the appointment of Yasin Koç for the Fenerbahçe derby, Galatasaray declared that all relations with the TFF, under its current leadership, were suspended. This tension overshadowed the jubilation of the club’s championship victory.
The Cup Was Awarded by the President
The ceremony, attended by thousands of enthusiastic supporters, lacked the presence of TFF officials. Instead, the championship trophy was delivered to the ceremony by the TFF management board, led by President Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, via a minibus. The trophy was presented by Dursun Özbek, and the medals were distributed by Okan Buruk and other club officials.
This cold war is just getting uglier. When will these leaders put football and fans first? It's not about them, it's about the game and the passion it brings to people.
