Tomislav Stipić, the coach of Vukovar, has announced the final match of the season. On Friday at 18:15, Hajduk and Vukovar players will meet at Poljud for the 36th and final round of the SuperSport HNL. Hajduk will conclude the season as the vice-champions of Croatia, while Vukovar will move down to the second league for the following season.

Stipić's Emotional Farewell

Stipić addressed his players, physiotherapists, and everyone involved in the team's journey, emphasizing the close-knit nature of the team. "Yesterday, I gathered all the players, physiotherapists, and everyone involved in our path and said that we've all been together for the past two months, intensely and closely, stirring up new energy and togetherness that has never been lacking," he said.

The match at Poljud in the SuperSport HNL is a precious experience where his players can present themselves in a new light. "We want to enjoy and have fun during these last 90 minutes. At the end, I will hug each of my players, thank them for their contribution, and wish them the best on their future paths, where they are sure to achieve great success," Stipić concluded emotionally.

A Farewell Gift

Vukovar posted a photograph of a poster Stipić made in the locker room on their Facebook page. In English, it reads, "Our last week, our last training, today's Cup final, then the most attractive away game in the HNL after which I will hug you. Many thanks and many wishes for success."

The match not only marks the end of the season but also a poignant farewell for Vukovar, as they prepare to leave the top league and return to the second division next season.
