Stilianca Nikolova, representing the Iliana club, emerged as the winner of the women’s national artistic gymnastics championship, “Eliit” for the Maria Gigova Trophy, held in Sofia's "Sofia" hall. Nikolova, the absolute European champion, secured the gold medal in the all-around competition with an impressive total score of 116.250 points (29.700 hoop, 29.750 ball, 29.375 clubs, 27.425 ribbon) after performing four routines with enormous difficulty.
Nikolova also won the special Maria Gigova Award, traditionally given to the women's champion. Yanitsa Dinova from "Beroe" performed strongly and deservedly took the silver medal, impressing with her stability, artistic expression, and strong presence on the mat. She achieved a total of 111.450 points (27.950 hoop, 27.375 ball, 27.900 clubs, 28.225 ribbon).
The bronze medal went to Darina Stayanova from the Iliana club with 109.825 points (28.400 hoop, 25.400 ball, 28.100 clubs, 27.925 ribbon). The finals for individual events are set for the following week.
