The University of Craiova dominated the ninth round of the Romanian Superliga playoffs, defeating the University of Cluj with a decisive score of 5-0, mathematically securing the championship one round before the season's end.

The University of Craiova has clinched both the championship and the Romanian Cup in this competitive season. Stefan Baiaram, one of the team's key figures, has already declared his intention to leave "Ion Oblemenco."

Baiaram expressed his joy and satisfaction after the 5-0 win over the University of Cluj, stating that he has nothing left to prove in Oltenia. "I've dreamed of this moment since I started playing football. I'm happy I won the championship with my heart's team. Never has Craiova had such a good team. We knew we were playing with 35,000 fans in the stands; you could see the madness before the game. I don't know how to celebrate," Baiaram told DigiSport.

Goalkeeper Laurențiu Popescu, also a key player for the University of Craiova, expressed his immense joy following the team's championship win. "We are happy after 35 years of a fantastic season. Conference League, Cup, championship. Such a feeling is unforgettable. It's a fantastic joy, that's how it is in Craiova. We felt strong emotions, we wanted to play a big game today, and we succeeded. We are happy. These trophies are deserved; we fought in every match, there were hard moments, I'm happy for this victory," Popescu added.
