Chang Wan Seo from South Korea has been crowned the champion of the World Modern Pentathlon Championships, which took place at the "Balona" swimming complex in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria.

In the women's category, the title was won by Ilke Yuzuksel from neighboring Turkey. This was announced by Pazardzhik Mayor Petar Kuleshki.

Mayor Kuleshki expressed gratitude to the Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation, represented by its president, Mr. Andrei Kuzmanov, for their trust. He also acknowledged the high praise for the event's organization from Rob Stull, president of the World Federation, and Shai Ni Feng, general secretary of UIPM – World Pentathlon.

Kuleshki emphasized that Pazardzhik is prepared to host the World Modern Pentathlon Championship again in 2027.
