The Capital Directorate of Internal Affairs has organized a procedure for fans traveling to Sofia to be stopped, grouped, and checked before entering the city. This is to ensure safety during tomorrow's 19:00 final football match of the Sesame Cup between Lokomotiv Plovdiv and CSKA. Chief Inspector Ivan Georgiev, head of the "Mass Events" sector in the Capital Directorate of Internal Affairs, announced these measures to protect public order.

Important Information from BPFL Before Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) - CSKA Match

Fans arriving in Sofia will be escorted by Internal Affairs staff to the stadium via different routes, depending on their team allegiance, to park. Around the National Stadium, where the match will take place, there will be several checkpoints. Entry will start at 17:00, and individuals who have consumed alcohol or carry prohibited items will not be allowed in. Georgiev explained that the system will prevent fans from one team from entering the opposing team's area with purchased tickets and moving between sectors.

The video surveillance system in central Sofia, the approaches to the city, and the sports facility will be utilized to identify individuals engaging in antisocial behavior. During a previous football match, numerous pyrotechnic devices were found in a closed boiler in a sector of the National Stadium. Georgiev noted that during the previous match, items suspected to be smoke bombs with remote activation were discovered. Five similar devices were found before the sports event, and expert examinations are scheduled.
