Is Jannik Sinner feeling prepared for the French Open after the ups and downs he has experienced in and out of the tennis court over the last few months? Will it be difficult to find the energy required for the next two weeks?

“Yes, I hope so. It has been a very long but very positive period, and I’m happy to be in this position. It’s always better to be in a situation where you are winning and starting to feel tired rather than feeling great but losing after a few matches. Now, I’m trying to find a good balance in training, knowing when to push and when not to, and I hope to be ready for the first-round matches. I am very happy to be here again, a special tournament for me ever since my first time playing here, and the excitement I feel will help me find extra energy throughout the tournament,” the world’s top player responded before his quest for the Golden Slam.

Has he noticed in recent times that opponents have tried new or different strategies to defeat him, and what does he expect from them in Paris?

“Everyone tries to win, but that’s the most normal thing. You have to be prepared, and matches won in three sets are a bit different; they give you more time to figure out how to beat the player, and even if you start poorly, there is a chance to find a way back. I’m sure that the matches in front of me will be very, very tough in Paris, and I will focus on myself,” he added.

Does he limit his media appearances to 15 minutes today, and why does he do that?

“Yes, I think many players do that today, but it’s not directed against the press. We very much appreciate doing what we need to and fulfilling our obligations, but we are just limiting the time; we’re trying to put ourselves in a position where we also have some say, and I think that’s right. As I said in Rome, we were waiting for a year for a short answer, and now we are trying to start a reaction again. But again, it has nothing to do with you, and we are here to do our job and fulfill our obligations,” Sinner summarized the “topic of the day,” grateful for the support he has always felt from the stands of the Philippe Chatrier court, even after a painful defeat in the final against Alcaraz last year.
