A shock wave has hit both Sweden and Barcelona as young striker Ronny Bardhi has been left off the World Cup squad. The reason for this unexpected decision has nothing to do with his on-field performance.

Swedish selector Greham Potter has crossed off the talented Barcelona player due to problems with behavior and a breach of discipline within the national team.

The decision has caused an uproar in Swedish public opinion. According to media reports, the issue began during the March training camp when the young player did not receive any game time. Instead of reacting calmly, it is reported that he demanded an explanation in a raised tone, already clashing with the coaching staff.

The situation escalated further during the celebration of Sweden's qualification for the World Cup, where Bardhi allegedly did not adhere to the team spirit and openly displayed his dissatisfaction. This led to the decision to remove him from the squad.

Potter is said to have made it clear that the collective is above individual talent and that he will not tolerate any disruption of the team atmosphere, regardless of a player’s potential.

This is a significant blow for the young player, especially given the season he had at Barcelona, which put him in the spotlight. He arrived from Copenhagen for around €2.5 million and made 28 appearances in the Catalan club’s jersey, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
