At an awards ceremony for the current Serbian Superliga season, Janko Tumbasević, a 41-year-old player for Mladost Lucane, was honored for his legendary career.

Tumbasević, a symbol of the Serbian Superliga, has played 32 games this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His career began in 2001, and he continues to play today, representing various teams including Milicara, Zeta, Vojvodina, and Moldovan clubs Dačia and Timbru. He has also played for Spartak and TSC before returning to Mladost Lucane in summer 2023.

Throughout his career, Tumbasević has participated in 450 Superliga matches, setting a record for longevity and consistency. He expressed his gratitude to his family for their unwavering support.

- Good evening to everyone, it is a great honor to be here. This award signifies perseverance and longevity. I want to thank my family for their constant support and encouragement, he said.
