The Serbian Shooting Team will compete in the upcoming World Cup in Munich with a younger roster, a decision made by the team’s expert committee.
World Cup in Munich
The second World Cup of the season will take place in Munich from May 26 to May 30.
- The expert staff decided to provide opportunities to a greater number of junior representatives, as they are expected to compete in the World Junior Championship in Zülpich, Germany, in the second half of June. Munich will be a good opportunity for gaining experience and preparing for Zülpich. - announced the Serbian Shooting Federation (SSS).
Team Composition
In addition to eight juniors, the selection includes four seniors: Olympic candidates from the OKS program, Zorana Arunović, Damir Mikec, Aleksandra Havran, and Aleksa Rakonjac.
The majority of the juniors in the Serbian selection have already competed internationally in the senior category, either at this year’s European Airgun Championship or the 2025 World Championship, with some having won medals at senior EP.
Aleksa Rakonjac (Pančevo 1813) will compete in the men's rifle category.
Women's rifle: Aleksandra Havran (Novi Sad 1790), Ljiljana Cvetković (Niš 1881), Anđelija Stevanović ("Dragan Jevtić Škepo"), and Anastasija Živković (Gatos, Lebanon). Živković will compete in non-competitive finals.
Men's pistol: Damir Mikec (Policajac), Uroš Gajić (Niš 1881), Matija Kvasnevski (Zemun Centar).
Women's pistol: Zorana Arunović (Olimpik 011), Nađa Martinović (Partizan), Tea Mikec (Policajac), Marta Novović (Zemun Centar). Arunović and Tea Mikec will compete only with air pistols, while Marta Novović will compete only with sports pistols.
Alongside the shooters will be selectors Jasna Šekarić and Dragan Donević, as well as members of the expert staff Saša Iker, Ivan Manojlović, and Stefan Višekruna, and personal trainers called upon by the selectors, Goran Mikec, Goran Stojadinović, and Ljubiša Rakonjac.
