Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced today in Belgrade that he plans to embark on diplomatic tours to Africa and Asia before the end of his term. Vučić was present at the 15th anniversary celebration of the World in Serbia program at the "Serbia" Palace. The program offers scholarships for learning Serbian and enrolling in higher education institutions, founded by the Republic of Serbia for candidates from member and observer states of the Non-Aligned Movement.
"I want you to feel at home here in Belgrade. We will strive to never disappoint you. Long live the brotherhood and friendship between our peoples. This is your home," Vučić emphasized, adding:
"About 12 years ago, we had 205 barriers, about 2,900 special barriers. Everyone was talking about solidarity, but there was never enough of it. That's why I try to show the difference. Did I need to personally intervene because of a kindergarten in northern Serbia? Those who bark and lie get likes, but they cannot offer anything. Can anyone explain to me if there is an imminent attack on Iran by America? No one. Everything depends on whether it brings one more like, one more vote," Vučić said.
Vučić stated, "We must help each other."
"Unfortunately, we all undervalued each other, thinking that America and the big powers resolve everything. When coffee is sold from Uganda and when you go to Hamburg to buy coffee, only one-sixth of that money stays with the Ugandan people, and those who just roasted the coffee get five-sixths," he added.
"I Have Hosted the Most African Premiers in Europe"
"Africa is a huge force, an enormous fantastic potential, but it's important to raise the education level. It's important to spend more time on the African continent. Imagine looking from Algeria, Egypt to the south, these are countries of fantastic potential. Different peoples united in the desire to be independent," Vučić said.
"I am one of the presidents who has hosted the most African premiers and presidents in Europe," the president added.
"You Are Our Treasure Too"
In response to a student from Tunisia asking about staying in Serbia, Vučić replied:
"You can stay in Serbia, you will always be able to find work and work. You are our treasure too. If you choose to stay, we won't create any problems."
Visit to China
"This is probably the most important visit we have had so far," Vučić said, noting that he will be on an official visit to China from May 24 to 28.
"Today, I had an extremely important meeting with Li Ming, the ambassador of the People's Republic of China, and before that with Milorad Dodik, but we talked with Li Ming about preparing the visit to the People's Republic of China. As far as I understand, it is from May 24 to 29, a five-day visit, probably one of the most important, and from my perspective and what I know has already been prepared, probably the most important visit we have had so far. I believe and hope that we will successfully represent our country and inform the Serbian people of the important results we will achieve in discussions with the President of China, Xi Jinping," Vučić said, adding:
"Today, I should have a phone call with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Of course, there will be more diplomatic activities in the coming days. When I return from China, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, will visit Belgrade, and after that, we have the EU-Western Balkans summit, and after talks with Ursula von der Leyen, I decided to attend the summit in Tirana."
"China Is Becoming a Gravitational Center and a Factor of Stability in the World"
In China, American President Donald Trump was there, and yesterday and today, the President of Russia was there.
