Mitropolis Žički Justin has been removed from his position as episcopal throne holder, according to theologian Blagoje Pantelić. Pantelić evaluates that the change in leadership of one of the most significant eparchies in Serbia is riddled with irregularities.

Pantelić assesses that the process against Metropolis Justin was marked by a series of irregularities, including the final session of the Synod that concluded the trial against him. A sextet of archbishops refused to participate and legitimize the decision, deeming it entirely unacceptable.

The election for the new metropolis of Žiča was decided by 27 votes, but some archbishops had two votes each. According to Pantelić, at least four individuals with dual voting rights supported the change, implying that 23 bishops also backed the decision.

"For a majority in the Synod, 21 votes are required. This means that Patriarch Porphyrius, along with his Synod member Aleksandar Vučić, control the voting machinery but are losing influence. Archbishop of Niš Arsenije, who is the current administrator of Žiča, had two votes—his own and Justin’s. Arsenije voted for Justin's removal using both his own and Justin’s votes," Pantelić emphasizes.

Pantelić calls the voting process a "farce." He also mentions that members of the Synod who had the right to vote did not receive documentation, the indictment against Justin, or evidence.

"When making their decision, they did so based on what they heard," says Pantelić. "Metropolis Justin wanted to add something when he read his response, but Patriarch Porphyrius prohibited him and said they would discuss it later. When the time came for the actual debate, Patriarch Porphyrius expelled Metropolis Justin from the room. Thus, Justin did not participate in the debate."

Pantelić describes the decision to remove Justin as scandalous and shameful, concluding that the patriarch was more interested in "liquidating" Justin rather than uncovering the truth.
