Verebeš came from a musical family and had a long career as a football administrator, overseeing clubs like Vojvodina, Kabel, Novi Sad, Slavija, AIK, and Crvenka. He began his coaching career in 1978 and continued to coach professionally after retiring from playing in the 1987/88 season.
He was also mentored by Emila Rockova, a prominent figure in Vojvodina football. Verebeš's impact on Serbian football will be remembered for years to come.
