Serbia celebrated a 31-29 victory in Niš and will now defend their advantage in Veszprém. Serbian handball coach Vladimir Cupara is optimistic about the upcoming match against Hungary.
"We can expect an excellent game ahead, I am sure of that. We have prepared well and I am pleased with our performance in Niš. We were just slightly short of breath in the last 15 minutes, but I believe we played a top-notch game. The atmosphere in Niš was incredible and we had significant support from our fans, so it will look a bit different at the start," Cupara stated after training.
Cupara also mentioned that Hungary will have strong fan support, noting that his team is ready for anything. "Regarding the match in Veszprém, I expect a similar atmosphere here. Some players' families are coming to support us, so the game will be somewhat different at the start. We have a two-goal lead, but we are not focusing on that; we are here to win," he added.
This is the moment we've been waiting for! Cupara's confidence is infectious, but Hungary will be a tough opponent. Can Serbia maintain their form and come out on top? Let's find out!
