Serbia is set for a week of turbulent weather, transitioning from pleasant spring sunshine to heavy rains, thunder, and strong winds. According to the latest forecasts from the Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ), Monday, May 18, will bring mostly clear skies across the country, with moderate winds and temperatures reaching up to 22 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday will see drier and warmer conditions in most areas, with occasional rain possible only in the south of Serbia. However, a significant weather shift is expected from Wednesday onwards, with variable weather accompanied by intermittent, short-term rain.

A Major Weather Change by the Weekend

The real weather twist is expected at the start of the weekend. On Friday and Saturday (May 22 and 23), a wide belt stretching from eastern to central and southern Serbia will experience heavy rains and thunderstorms, accompanied by increased northerly winds.

Despite the rain, temperatures will remain relatively high, ranging from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius, with temperatures in the east potentially reaching up to 26 degrees.

Unstable Weather in Serbia Until the End of May

As meteorologist Ivan Ristić previously explained, Serbia will experience unstable weather until the end of May, with significant weather changes every three days. "There will be beautiful sunny days with temperatures around 25 degrees, followed by two to three days of bad weather, and so on," Ristić said.
