The biggest surprise in the Scottish World Cup squad is the return of striker Ros Stewart, who has not played for the national team in almost four years. Stewart, who plays for Southampton, last represented Scotland in 2022 and has not been part of the selection since. This season, he has scored 11 goals in 33 matches, including a goal in the Championship playoff semi-final against Middlesbrough.

The Scottish team will compete in Group C of the World Cup alongside Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil. Their first match is against Haiti on June 14, followed by a match against Morocco on June 19, and they will conclude the group stage with a game against Brazil on June 24.

Before the World Cup, Steve Clarke's selected team will play friendly matches against Curacao on May 30 and Bolivia on June 6.
