Serbian women's handball team coach Sandra Kolaković has announced the roster for the upcoming June training camp. According to the Handball Federation of Serbia (HFS), Kolaković has decided to assemble a portion of the national team in early June, primarily comprising players from the domestic league. From June 1st to 5th, in Pančevo, Kolaković will work with twenty players and conduct necessary tests to ensure each player has a clear plan for the summer preparations.

The roster includes: Goalkeepers: Anastasija Nedeljković (Naisa), Teodora Vranić (Jagodina), Aleksandra Šarac (Esterhazi); Left wings: Nataša Ćetković (Naisa), Jelena Stojanović (Naisa), Jana Stanković (Bor); Right wings: Tijana Simić (Crvena zvezda), Dunja Radević (Budućnost), Nikolina Vidić (Mladost); Centers: Tamara Kojić (Loznica), Vladana Mitrović (Naisa), Iva Andrić (Mladost); Backs: Ana Petrović (Temerin), Nora Fajfrić (Dunajska Streda), Aleksandra Vasić (Medicinar), Tamara Mandić (Naisa), Nevena Radić (Temerin), Tamara Preković (Radnički), Anja Vujnović (Bor), Nikoleta Lazarević (Mladost).

"The Pančevo camp is a unique opportunity to see players from the domestic league, ensure their capabilities, and start implementing specific ideas. This is the first time the team is assembling without a match or competitive obligation, allowing me to set some elements that will later integrate the foreign players, of whom there are very few," Kolaković emphasized in a statement to the HFS website.

She added that she is pleased the team has this opportunity as there are very few training sessions and opportunities to work together throughout the year.

"There is a lot of potential, and I want to work specifically on each position and develop the team. The training intensity won't be high, as the league commitments have just ended, and the players are tired. We will refine their skills in their respective positions. I need to set up things that will be significant in the future," the coach noted.

Kolaković highlighted the desire to establish a defensive system that the team will maintain.

"We need at least two defensive systems we can play at the highest level, as the team composition for the European Championship will be significantly changed, and injuries are not in our favor, but they are an inevitability of the sport," she concluded.
