Ruzdi Ruzdi Triumphs at Swiss Para Athletics Grand Prix

Ruzdi Ruzdi (class F55) secured a gold medal in shot put at the Para Athletics Grand Prix in Notwil, Switzerland, on the first day of the competition. He achieved an outstanding result of 12.40 meters. Ruzdi, one of the most decorated athletes in this event, has two Paralympic titles, a silver medal from the Paralympic Games, six world championships, and six European championships to his name. He also holds the current world record with a throw of 12.94 meters, set at the World Championships in New Delhi last year. Ruzdi has been working with coach Radostin Todorov since the beginning, forming an excellent tandem for medals.

Young Talent Shines

Another success story is that of young hopeful Yovanna Mikhailova, who achieved third place in her T47 class at the 200m race. She clocked a personal best of 27.40 seconds. Yovanna is coached by the renowned trainer Evgeni Ignatov, who has also contributed to the success of one of our most successful para-athletes, Hristiyon Stoynov. Yovanna will compete in the 400m race later today at 11:50 local time.

Continued Progress

Stefan Viet will also be competing in the discus throw today. He has been showing steady progress since the beginning of the year under the guidance of coach Radoslav Kostov, who has extensive experience working with Paralympic athletes.
