Cristiano Ronaldo, football's all-time leading goal scorer, has the chance to add the one trophy missing from his illustrious career: the World Cup. The striker for Al Nassr has been included in the 27-player list by Portugal's senior coach Roberto Martinez for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 18.

For the 41-year-old Ronaldo, this will be his sixth consecutive World Cup, having played in each of the previous five tournaments. Portugal, who won the UEFA Nations League last summer, will face the Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia, and Uzbekistan in Group K.

The team's first match is scheduled for June 17 against Congo in Houston. As part of their preparation, Portugal will play against Chile and Nigeria on June 6 and June 10, respectively, in Oeiras and Leiria.
