Romanian midfielder Marius Marin is poised to make a significant move in his career, as he is expected to sign with Sevilla, the La Liga club recently taken over by Sergio Ramos. Following his release from Italian club Pisa, Marin is set to undergo a medical and sign a contract with Sevilla if all goes according to plan.

The move comes after Marin sustained a complex injury in early March, an ankle sprain that kept him off the field for almost two months and resulted in his missing the qualifier against Turkey. Despite the setback, Marin was called up for the match against Cremonese last week, though he did not play, and is expected to return this Sunday against Napoli.

If the medical goes well, Marin will become the third free agent signed by Sevilla for the 2026/27 season, following Juan Iglesias and Arouna Sangaré. The transfer would be a significant career milestone for the 27-year-old, who has been capped 36 times for the Romanian national team and is valued at €3 million.
