The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) has released the annual “Ranking of Football Academies in Romania” for the year 2026 on their official website.
Top of the Best Football Academies
The current edition of the project to rank youth and junior academies has seen a total of 130 clubs participating in the FRF junior competitions, marking the highest number of participating clubs in the process.
From 58 clubs in the first edition in 2019, the 2026 edition now includes 130 clubs participating in the FRF junior competitions, as highlighted by the federation.
This year's podium is composed of Farul Constanța, Viitorul Cluj, and Dinamo. The Bucharest club returns to the top three academies after six years since the last time it was ranked at the top of the hierarchy.
Farul Constanța has maintained the top spot in the academy rankings for each of the seven previous editions.
Viitorul Cluj takes the second spot in the 2026 edition, climbing one position from the previous year.
After five consecutive editions in which it was present on the podium, AFK Csikszereda has dropped to fourth place.
The teams with the highest increase in points are CS Gloria Bistrița (+21.98), ACS U Evolution 2020 (+20.79), and CS Afumați (+19.04), according to the FRF.
This is huge for Dinamo! They've been working hard to develop their youth program. I can't wait to see the next generation of talent they'll produce. Is Farul Constanța's dominance finally coming to an end?
