Romanian-born footballer Raul Florucz has been left out of Austria's World Cup squad, a decision made by coach Ralf Rangnick. Florucz, who refused to play for the Romanian national team, will not be part of Austria's journey to the final tournament in North America.
Florucz, who plays for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, has had a mixed season. He scored just one goal in the semi-finals of the Belgian Cup this year and has a total of eight goals and four assists this season for his club. The Austrian national team coach has opted for other attackers, including Michael Gregoritsch, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Marko Arnautovic.
The full squad includes notable names such as David Alaba (Real Madrid), Marcel Sabitzer (Borussia Dortmund), Konrad Laimer (Bayern Munich), Carney Chukwuemeka (Borussia Dortmund), and Kevin Danso (Tottenham Hotspur).
