Andy Robertson, the 32-year-old left-back, is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, after nine memorable years at Anfield Road under the guidance of Jürgen Klopp. His career at Liverpool was marked by numerous accolades and a standout performance in the Premier League.
Robertson's Confidence in Wirtz and Isak
Before his departure, Robertson spoke highly of two recent acquisitions, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool on record-breaking transfers. Wirtz was signed for €125 million, and Isak joined for €145 million.
Robertson expressed his belief that Liverpool is in a transition phase and that these young talents will have successful careers at the club. "We're not in 2017 anymore; we're in a transitional period. This season has had its ups and downs. We've brought in players who excite us, and they will have stellar careers at Liverpool. I have no doubt about that. But they are young."
He also addressed the issue of player valuations in the modern game, noting that players do not control their prices. "The thing I don't like about football is that players don't control their prices. It's simply the market that does. If a club is willing to pay or sell you for a huge sum, it has nothing to do with you."
Robertson is confident that Wirtz and Isak will succeed at Liverpool, citing their performances in training and matches. "They will succeed through their attitude. But they will need a bit more time."
Over his Liverpool career, Robertson made 377 appearances across all competitions, scored 14 goals, and provided 69 assists. He helped the club win the UEFA Champions League, two Premier League titles, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, and the FA Community Shield.
cred ca isak si wirtz vor avea o cariera stelara la liverpool, sper doar ca vor avea putin mai mult timp pentru a se dezvolta.
