The transfer of Robertlandi Simon to Alianza (Milano) for the next season is a milestone in the club's history. It rivals the club's previous landmark signing of Matej Kaziski three years ago. Simon, the towering center blocker, arrives with a reputation for exceptional athleticism and technical prowess, making him a key addition to the team.

Standing at 208 centimeters, Simon is a force to be reckoned with. His explosive power and consistency have made him one of the most impactful players in the Italian Superliga. His performances, especially in recent seasons with his former club Piacenza, have been nothing short of stellar. Just a few weeks ago, he was the hero of the CEV Cup.

Born on June 11, 1987, in Santiago de Cuba, Simon began his volleyball career in Havana. He quickly became a central figure in the national team, winning two North American titles and a silver medal at the World Championships in 2010. In 2011, he left the national team to pursue his career in Europe, joining Koprino (Piacenza) in Italy. Since then, he has won three Italian championships, three Italian cups, one Champions League, and two World Club Championships with various teams, including Kocane Lube (Civitanova).

According to Legavolley, Simon is the best center blocker to return to the Italian league since the 2018-19 season. His statistics are impressive: he scored 0.52 points per game from blocks, and his 3,387 points include 478 aces and 738 blocks. His trophy collection is extensive, including three Italian championships, four Italian cups, one Champions League, and two World Club Championships, alongside three Cuban championships, three Korean championships, one Challenge Cup, and one Asian Champions League.

Simon expressed his excitement about the new challenge in Milano. "My life has always been one of constant challenges, and this new opportunity excites me greatly. I am thrilled to have a new adventure in my career with Alianza (Milano)."
