Romanian coach Laurențiu Reghecampf (50 years old), who has been leading Al-Hilal Omdurman since August last year, has shared his future plans. Despite being sought after by numerous African teams, the experienced coach has reached an understanding with the current club officials, indicating he is likely to extend his stay.

Reghecampf led Al-Hilal Omdurman to victory in the Rwandan league, a team that had to move to Rwanda due to geopolitical conflicts in Sudan. Now, the team, coached by Reghecampf, has returned to Sudan and is aiming to win two more trophies. Recent speculation about his departure has been put to rest as he has confirmed an understanding with the club leadership for a contract extension.

“I want to say that it has been and continues to be an experience for me as a coach. One has the opportunity to face problems never encountered before. It is a challenge and an opportune moment for me to grow as a person and as a coach,” Reghecampf explained.

“Throughout my career, I have never had the chance to coach without challenges or problems, which has helped me tremendously in becoming who I am today. There is currently an understanding between me and the club, but nothing has been signed yet. After winning the Rwandan league, we came back to Sudan to play the playoffs and the Sudanese Cup, where we hope to win two more trophies,” Reghecampf declared, according to digisport.ro.

The 50-year-old coach has also expressed his ambition to win the African Champions League and acknowledged being pursued by several prominent teams. “I very much desire to win the African Champions League. Many teams in this region are trying to sign me, but for now, my full concentration is on the competitions in Sudan,” the Romanian coach added.
