Red Star Belgrade is reportedly finalizing a major signing for the upcoming season, bringing in experienced point guard Kris Johns from Hapoel Tel Aviv. According to Israeli media, the signing of the veteran point guard is almost complete, and he will don the red and white jersey as soon as his contract with Hapoel expires this summer.

Johns has accumulated substantial EuroLeague experience during his career, having played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, ASVEL, and Valencia. In the previous season, he was one of the key players for Hapoel.

The American player, who averaged 10 points and 4.2 assists per game last season, is seen as a player who can bring stability and experience to Red Star's point guard position. His name has been circulating in the European market for months, with connections to giants like Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe, but the Red and Whites were reportedly the fastest and most concrete.

Hapoel Seeking Replacement

As Kris Johns is on the verge of signing with Red Star, Hapoel is working hard to bring in a new point guard. The ambitious Israeli club is reportedly very interested in Justin Robinson from Paris, who had an outstanding season in the EuroLeague. Robinson averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 assists per game in the elite competition.
