Turkish center Omer Jurtseven will return to Euroleague action, signing with Real Madrid until the end of the season. The experienced player will have the opportunity to compete for a European title in Athens, the arena where he played for Panathinaikos this season.

Jurtseven spent a significant part of the current season with the Greek powerhouse, playing in the famous "OAKA arena." Now, he will return to the same hall as a member of Real Madrid, aiming to secure the Euroleague trophy.

Madrid's decision came in response to injury concerns surrounding Edi Tavares. Although Tavares is expected to be ready for the start of the final four, Real has decided to further strengthen its lineup for the end of the season.

Coach Srdjan Skrbic will now have the option to rotate between Usman Garuba and the Turkish center, who has substantial experience playing at the highest level. Jurtseven recently played in the NBA G League for the Golden State Warriors' affiliate before signing a 10-day contract with the Warriors.

During his time with Panathinaikos, Jurtseven consistently contributed with solid minutes and scoring. In the Euroleague, he averaged 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, despite playing less than 13 minutes per game.

Jurtseven's arrival could be crucial for Real's pursuit of a new European crown, especially if Tavares is not fully prepared for the most important games of the season. Madrid now gains additional depth in the frontcourt for the Euroleague final stages, where experience and physical dominance under the basket will play a significant role.
