Inter Milan's central defender Alessandro Bastoni is considering his future with the club, despite having a contract until 2028. While fans gathered at Piazza Duomo for the weekly celebration pleaded with him to stay, the Italian defender has also attracted the interest of Real Madrid.

Bastoni has been pursued by Barcelona for several months, but the price set by Inter has deterred the Catalans, who tried to propose players as part of the deal to reduce the cost of around 60-70 million euros. However, Inter did not make any concessions and Bastoni returned to a more positive sentiment after the show of support from the fans.

With Barcelona unable to meet the demands, Real Madrid is stepping in. Following the appointment of José Mourinho as the new manager, the club's president Florentino Pérez announced plans to bring in two central defenders this summer. Mourinho has prioritized Bastoni on his list, valuing his solid defensive play and ability to distribute the ball.

"Mourinho highly values the Italian and believes he would be ideal for Real Madrid to regain its defensive stability. Additionally, he has the ability to distribute the ball from the back, which would allow for rotation with other defenders," said journalist Latiño Serano in his YouTube channel.

Italian sources confirm that Inter would consider an offer of 70 million euros, a sum that Barcelona cannot afford but Real Madrid is willing to invest in the player. Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio denied any offers, stating that Bastoni is a valuable asset to the club and to Italy.
