The 26-year-old winger, currently on loan at Hermannstadt until the end of the 2025-2026 season, will return to the red-and-blue fold once his holiday concludes. Politic arrived in Bucharest last summer from Dinamo București, a move that has since been branded a disaster. The club paid roughly one million euros, plus the inclusion of Alex Musi in the deal. For Gigi Becali, it has been a costly lesson. The businessman recently admitted he was outsmarted, claiming the transfer cost nearly two million euros and accusing Dinamo of playing him for a fool.

Injuries and Uncertainty

Since leaving Dinamo, Politic’s career has been a rollercoaster of medical setbacks. Muscular issues have long plagued the former captain, limiting him to just eight appearances and a single assist during his time in Sibiu. His market value now sits at 900,000 euros, a stark contrast to the premium paid.

Stoica remains firm on the technicalities. “Politic is our player. He must return to us. After that, we will see. He has four years left on his contract. We’ll see if he plays for us again,” the executive told Fanatik. The door is open, but the path is narrow.

A Summer of Change?

The summer window looms large. Politic’s future is anything but guaranteed. Alongside him, goalkeeper Ștefan Târnovanu faces a similar crossroads. Becali’s patience has worn thin, and the upcoming decisive Conference League qualifier against Dinamo could be Târnovanu’s final bow in the FCSB jersey. The drama is far from over.
