Technical director Tzabi Pasqual is reportedly on the verge of a massive deal with Baskonia BC, leaving Barcelona at the end of the season.

According to Spanish publications, Pasqual has already informed Barcelona of his intention to leave at the end of the season, even though he is still under contract for another two years. He is determined to activate his release clause to pave the way for his move to Baskonia, where a new powerhouse is being built.

Baskonia's project from the United Arab Emirates is constantly improving, and they aim to create a true superpower for the Euroleague. For this reason, they are offering Pasqual a three-year contract until the summer of 2029, with salaries that would make him one of the best-paid coaches in the European market.

The timing is not coincidental, as the next Euroleague Final Four will be held in Abu Dhabi, and Baskonia BC wants to present itself as a competitive force at the top level. The acquisition of a coach with Pasqual's background and experience is seen as a key move for the new project.
