Partizan secured a commanding lead in their ABA League semifinal series against Red Star with a thrilling 100-94 victory at home. The match, which took place at the Arena, saw Partizan leading by as much as 20 points in the final quarter but almost squandered their significant advantage when Red Star mounted a comeback in the last minute.

The energy on the court shifted dramatically when Red Star returned to their defensive form, especially with the late comeback of Ognjen Dobrić, who had seen minimal playing time until then. Dobrić, who had been somewhat sidelined, returned to the court in the final quarter, contributing to a near-historic comeback attempt by Red Star.

After the game, a Telegraf journalist asked Coach Saša Obradović to explain the reduced playing time of Dobrić until the last quarter. Obradović explained, "There is always strategic consideration. Dobrić has the experience and knows how to change the pace in such matches. The issue is that we need two creators, and since Partizan plays aggressively on the rebound, I always play with three big players in that context. The only reason for the reduced playing time, when we have problems with creation and ball movement, is that I always respond with two creators, and I am very sorry for his reduced minutes."
