Galatasaray's Technical Director Okan Buruk spoke after his team's 1-0 defeat to Kasımpaşa in the 34th round of the Süper Lig.

Okan Buruk stated:

"We had a very long match schedule, playing 12 Champions League matches, 5 Turkish Cup matches, 34 Süper Lig matches, and 2 Super Cup matches. Finishing the season as champions was important for us. We didn't put players with high match counts in the lineup, such as Torreira and Osimhen, who was serving a suspension. We had a good team on the field and did our best to win. In the first half, they scored a goal from a loose ball. Our concentration was good, and we tried to score an equalizer but couldn't. The opponent's defensive line and resistance also prevented us from scoring."

"10+4 was said, but..."

"We watched the last 16 teams in Europe and want to improve that. The league is over, but the transfer window is starting, and we have preparations there. The lack of clear communication about the number of foreign players is confusing. The rule is 10+4, but many clubs are not prepared for this."

"This rule will challenge us"

"We have players with existing contracts. These rules will challenge teams like us who play in the Champions League. You want young players, but you need to bring players who are ready to play. The new rule will also be financially challenging. You can try it as an investment, but for a team like ours that plays in the Champions League, this rule will challenge us. It will challenge us to reach our goals."

"This rule is not right"

"Currently, we have 10 foreign players, some with expiring contracts, and some we are negotiating with. The rule changes every year. It has changed 10 times in the past years. Unfortunately, there is no long-term plan here. I don't think this decision and rule are right. I believe this rule will challenge many clubs."
